Terms of Service

These terms apply when you visit or buy from pukkacrafted.com, which is run by Pukka Crafted (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

The site

We do our best to keep the information on the site accurate, but we may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time. Photos and descriptions are as faithful as we can make them, and some images are placeholders until our own photography is ready.

Accounts

You do not need an account to browse or buy. If you create one, you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so you are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure. Give us accurate information, and let us know if you think someone else has accessed your account. We may suspend accounts that are misused.

Small batches and natural leather

Our pieces are made in small batches and are not restocked. Availability is not guaranteed until we confirm your order. Our leather is Australian full-grain cow leather, a natural material: grain, markings, small scars and shade vary from piece to piece, and will deepen with use. These are marks of real leather, not defects. Hand-finishing means small differences in size and stitching, and colours can look different on different screens.

Prices and orders

• Prices are in US dollars. Shipping, duties and applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
• Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm it by email.
• We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, a price or description contains an error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you have paid, we will refund you in full.
• Prices and availability can change without notice, but not for an order we have already confirmed.

Payment

Payments are processed by our payment processor. You confirm that you are allowed to use the payment method and that the billing details you give are accurate. We do not see or store your full card number.

Shipping and delivery

Orders ship from Tokyo, Japan. Delivery times we give are estimates, not guarantees. Please give us a complete and correct address. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered. Any customs duties, import taxes or fees that apply to your order are shown at checkout.

Final sale

All sales are final. Because each piece is made in a small batch, we do not accept returns or give refunds for a change of mind, or because of colour, size or personal preference. Until an order ships, you can ask us to cancel it through the contact form, and we will do so if we still can.

If something is wrong, we will put it right. If your order arrives damaged or defective, or is not what you ordered, contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We will repair, replace or refund it, at our choice. This policy does not affect any rights you have under the law that cannot be waived.

Care and repairs

We would rather fix a piece than replace it. For repairs at our Tokyo atelier, contact us and we will tell you what is involved and quote any cost and shipping before we start. See Materials & Care for how to look after your leather.

Newsletter and “notify me”

If you give us your email for the newsletter or to be told about a product, you agree that we may email you about it. You can unsubscribe at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

Our content

The designs, photographs, text, name and wordmark on this site belong to Pukka Crafted or our licensors. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not copy, sell or reuse our content without our written permission.

Acceptable use

Please do not use the site to break the law, to send spam or harmful content, to impersonate someone, or to scrape it or overload it. Do not try to bypass our security, rate limits or access controls, or to get into data that is not yours.

What you send us

Messages, reviews or other content you send us must be yours to share and lawful. You allow us to use your messages to respond to you. If you submit a review, you allow us to display it on the site. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Other websites

The site may link to other websites and use third-party services. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they do.

Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the site and our products are provided “as is”, and we do not make promises beyond those we state here and those the law requires.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the site or our products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the price you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the courts of Tokyo, Japan have jurisdiction over disputes, to the extent the law allows. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live, or any right you have to bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and the version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
